It's not a hack. It's a feature.

At home I'm using a fritzbox 7170 to access the internet. A few days ago I had to reset the box and after the reboot Zonealarm encountered a constant ping at different ports.

But it was no try to hack my box or computer. It was a setting that I did not uncheck in the fritzbox. See the explaination at the german board.
